In just 18 days, Justin and I will be on our way to Chicago! And then it's on to Vienna with a short layover in Germany. You wouldn't believe how excited I am! It's definitely going to be a good trip! I'm really excited to be part of the family! :)

Annnnnnd then.. South Africa! I can hardly focus on anything else right now, which isn't completely ideal ... I still have a lot to do yet this semester. It doesn't feel like we should pretty much be done; I feel like the work is never going to end! My flights are all in order, and just about everything else is done. Now all I want to do is pack and leave! It can't come soon enough!

It's going to be one amazing summer, that's for sure, but it's going to be tough too. I've never been away from my family that long, it will be a long time without seeing friends, and it will be a really long time not seeing Justin. I know I won't be completely on my own; once I get to know my roommates (I am living with two of the other interns) and whatnot, but it will take some getting used to. I'm excited to meet them and work and live with them! I think we'll all get along really well and we're already thinking of different adventures for while we're there!

For now, I have to go and get some more reading done before I go to bed. It never stops. I've never had so much reading as I do this semester! Please be praying for me, as well as the other girls, that we can keep focus as we are finishing up school and that we are able to finalize everything we need to this summer so it all goes smoothly! Good night!

What a crazy week this has been! I've been so busy all the time lately, but this last week was absolutely crazy! And this weekend is proving to be about the same. Currently, I am sitting in the Digital Media Arts building on campus working on a newspaper article and doing interviews. MG Collective, a networking organization that promotes the continuing growth of animation, is having a statewide 49-hour animation contest. There are several HU students involved, so I am writing stories for both our school paper, and a local county newspaper. It's really cool to be here and see people creating short films using different mediums.

Onto South Africa stuff.. I am so close to having all of my support in! Just a few hundred dollars more!! The last few days have been amazing; just seeing how fast the rest of the money is coming in. I cannot wait to get the dates solid and set in place! Also, I might be staying in Vienna a few days longer than I thought. That will be a lot of fun too. I can't wait to meet the rest of Justin's family and spend some time with them!

One of the other interns sent an email out to the rest of our group. She asked who would want to go great white shark diving. Of course I said I would! If someone who knows what they are doing can take us, I would go in a heartbeat! What do you think? Could you see me swimming with sharks?! That would be so incredible! Definitely a once in a lifetime experience!

Well, I should get going and go get some more work done, but please remember to keep me in your prayers. Here are some things you could be praying about:
  • The rest of the funding
  • Comfort (I don't like being nervous)
  • Relationships (here and there)
  • Safety
